Developing wild spaces for our activities, festivals and events requires physical outdoor work including clearing, building and creative signage. We offer specialist training through our partners at ‘Pop up Adventure Playgrounds’ so volunteers can support our activities as well as develop play-based groups in their communities.

If you’d like to join our enthusiastic team of volunteers then get in touch!

Disused urban spaces can have a negative impact on the local community, increasing anti social behaviour and making the community feel unsafe. We work with land owners and trusts to transform derelict land into natural assets for the whole community to enjoy.

If you know of an unloved area of land that could be developed by the local community then get in touch!

Our team have extensive experience working in formal and informal educational settings. With growing evidence that time spent in nature improves children’s attention, achievement and wellbeing we want to support schools in urban areas to build nature into their curriculum.

If you would like to become a ‘nature friendly school’ or get involved in our community projects then get in touch!

The Urban Wilderness Festival 2019 will be held in Central Forest Park, Stoke on Trent this summer. This will be a unique opportunity to reach young people and families across Stoke on Trent with positive messages about nature, wellbeing and community.
