Diverse Landscapes – Adina Lawrence
Wastelands artist development commission
Diverse Landscapes is a digital photography project by Adina Lawrence, examining heritage, identity, and connection to the outdoors in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
Models were sourced via social media call-outs and personal networks. Each participant was invited to bring an outfit representing an aspect of their cultural heritage. Adina carefully colour-matched their clothing and skin tones to the surrounding environment, using natural light and minimal post-processing to create authentic, harmonious portraits.
The work was exhibited at The Old Body Shop, Hanley City Centre from September to November 2020, showcasing the diversity of local communities and their relationship with outdoor spaces.
