Volunteer at Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade
Once again Urban Wilderness CIC is bringing fun, colour, music and entertainment to Longton town centre with the Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade on Sunday 6 April 2025. Set to be bigger, brighter and blooming with spring flowers, we need a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help make the event a huge success.
On the day volunteer roles will include parade stewards, support for performances, artists and workshops. We’ll provide snacks, brews, lunch and a unique Pig Walk 2025 T-shirt!
Please register your interest here for a volunteer training session on Saturday 29 March where we’ll provide all the information for volunteering on the day of Carnival.
We’re also preparing ahead of the day, making costumes and props with our Creative Volunteers. Regular drop-in sessions take place on Wednesday mornings in term time 10am – 12pm. Evening Creative Volunteers runs every two weeks on Fridays, 7-9pm from 7 February. All welcome!
