Event Volunteer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Urban Wilderness run large-scale community events in Longton that couldn’t happen without our team of event volunteers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We will match your skills and experience with a variety of roles including:

VOLUNTEER - Our friendly team of Event Stewards share event information, give directions and manage groups of people

VOLUNTEER - Parade Stewards enjoy being at the heart of the parade, smiling and dancing alongside our performers.

VOLUNTEER - Our events depend on trusted SITE Dressing volunteer teams who are up early to decorate the streets and stay late to clear away

WHO WILL THIS SUIT?

People who want to spend time with like-minded people.

People who want to be part of the community.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: EQUIPMENT, SKILLS

All equipment will be provided.

WHEN:

Sky Works Launch Event - Thursday 14th November

Urban Wilderness Winter Event - Saturday 14th December

  • Volunteer Training Day - Saturday 7th December

Longton Carnival And Pig Walk Parade - Sunday 6th April

  • Volunteer Training Day - Saturday 29th March

  • Volunteer Recruitment Day - Saturday 15th March

WHERE:

Longton Town Centre, Stoke-On-Trent

HOW WE’ll ALL KNOW IF IT’S GOING WELL:

We will review at the end of every session.

If you have feedback you can provide it anonymously.

YOU WILL REPORT TO:

Volunteer Co-ordinator

WHAT WE WILL GIVE YOU:

Full training and any equipment needed.

We can support with travel costs, please ask.
