VOLUNTEER ROLE:
Youth Volunteer
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Urban Wilderness CIC run a weekly Art Club during term time that supports young people with their mental health and wellbeing.
Artists will lead the creative sessions and we need volunteers to support young people to take part.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Spending time with young people aged 8-17 in a creative environment.
WHO WILL THIS SUIT?
You will be a degree student studying art or a professional artist looking to gain experience and develop skills working with young people
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: EQUIPMENT, SKILLS
All equipment will be provided.
We will arrange for a DBS check for you and you will be provided with the results that you can rely on for other roles beyond your volunteering with us.
WHEN:
4:30pm to 6pm on Thursdays during school term time.
WHERE:
The Moony Club, 15 Bennett Precinct, Longton Exchange (next to Iceland).
HOW WE’LL ALL KNOW IF IT’S GOING WELL:
We will review at the end of every session.
If you have feedback you can provide it anonymously.
YOU WILL REPORT TO:
Co-director and Art Club lead, Laurel Gallagher
WHAT WE WILL GIVE YOU:
We can provide a DBS check and reference.
