Longton Town Forum
Longton Town Forum was set up to encourage collaboration and engagement amongst the Longton community, and to address and improve the quality of life for all in Longton. It is a welcoming, equitable place to share what is happening currently in Longton and what will be happening in the future.
The aim of the forum is to:
Share updates on events and activities in Longton
Explore how we can support each other
Discuss resource-sharing and promotion opportunities
Membership is open to local businesses, community groups, service providers, faith groups, volunteers, residents, council representatives, government representatives, and anyone who has an interest in Longton town.
We also welcome organisations, who may not be based in Longton to attend or present at one of our meetings, especially if they want to extend their reach to the Longton residents
The forum takes place on the first Wednesday of the month, 6pm - 7pm, at The Moony Club, 15 Bennett Precinct, Longton Exchange (next door to Iceland).
Refreshments are provided, and if you cannot make it in person we share a Zoom link. We are also happy to share news on your behalf.
Access
The venue is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with accessibility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is at Tesco Extra, a five-minute walk away.
Travel
Longton Train Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the venue. There are multiple bus stops along The Strand, with services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
