tomorrowland

May 2021

Our pop up shop in the Potteries Shopping Centre shared the Tomorrowland project in a public space and offered £200 mini bursaries to young people (aged 14-24) to develop their own ideas to make tomorrow a better place for their community and the environment.

March 2020

Twenty young people (aged 11-12) learnt how to use power tools, take responsibility for on-site health and safety routines and work effectively in teams to build a house out of reclaimed industrial pallets in 4 days.

Individuals chose different roles on site, such as ‘site manager’ and ‘materials co-ordinator’ which had a positive impact on their behaviour and confidence. Students were keen to taking part in future building workshops, with some sharing aspirations to make a career in the construction industry as a result of the workshop.
