Join our Volunteer Training to find out all the details about volunteering at the spectacular Winter Gathering event.

Urban Wilderness CIC is putting on a spectacular Winter Gathering event on Saturday 13th December, 4-6pm at Queen’s Park (Longton Park). and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to part of the fun and to help make the event a success. It’ll be an afternoon/evening of entertainment and music building to a breathtaking parade with giant puppets and a fire show. Volunteers will need to be available from 3pm on the day.

Volunteer Roles

We have a variety of roles - from parade stewards to taking part in the parade itself! You’ll find details and choose your preferred role at the Volunteer Training.

Accessibility Information

The Venue is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with mobility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is The Coffee House around 200 meters away.

Getting There

Longton Train Station is less than a 5 minute walk from the venue. Multiple bus stops in Longton offer services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
