Museum of Possibilities: Exploring What We Keep, Share, and Change

What should museums collect and share—bubble wrap, singing and dancing, houses for the homeless, or cake?

These are just some of the questions at the heart of Museum of Possibilities, a thought-provoking artwork commissioned by Keele University as part of the Decommissioning the Twentieth Century research project, led by Modern Historian Ben Anderson.

A Living Museum of Ideas

As part of the In the Balance program, Museum of Possibilities invites us to reconsider what we preserve and why. Urban Wilderness brings together performance, public space curation, installation, and co-creation to challenge conventional ideas about heritage, memory, and sustainability.

Reflecting on questions such as
What was here first – the snails or the coal?

Looking Back, Moving Forward

At Urban Wilderness, we believe in the power of art to ignite conversation, build connections, and imagine new possibilities for the world we share. Museum of Possibilities is an invitation to explore not just what we inherit, but what we choose to shape for the future.
